What do you use to manage or view all your social networks activities? (eg: facebook/twitter/yahoo)
If you don't, Yoono just might be the good help for you, in short its a free desktop application that allows you to receive & post updates within its interface, which can be installed on MS Windows/iPhone or as a FireFox/Chrome plugin.
Ok, lets get started, the review will be about the desktop version:

Setting up Yoono desktop 1.8.0...
Missed the most important part :p - updated on 25 Jan, 2011 - 00:40

Yup, the social network supported by Yoono 1.8.0

Configurating settings, as in the image, I'll get notified by a popup on the lower right corner of my desktop when any particular update of the networks received...with sound alert as they're "ticked".

The expanded interface with "browser" tab (can be closed to a sidebar like instant messenger). On the left is where you find all your social updates, a search/filtering of the update threads is also provided.

The column tab allows you to create a dashboard view of networks you choose to add in separated columns.

The unread updates will be highlighted in yellow, which fades away after few sec. of mouse over.

The number on lower left corner of social icons, Facebook for this instant, will appear when you have private message/comment posted over the network, along with an instant messenger alike popup alert (according to your setting options).

By clicking on the "read" or the title on the social thread, it'll open the post either in the built-in browser tab or in your default browser base on the setting you set. Picture above is an example of Facebook thread, where you can comment directly, view the poster's profile/photos, sending he or she a message/poke...yet, reposting would required the post to be opened in the built-in browser.

Clicking on greenish "share" botton located on the top right of "browser" tab, will bring out a bar which asks you whether you want to share the whole page or "selected items", after choosing, another popup similar to image above will appear, where you can choose which network to share.
Before closing the article, theres a function of Yoono I wound like to mention, the built-in image uploader:

Which currently supports 6 picture uploading websites, simplifying the workload of a photo post across social networks. They'll be used when you click on the camera icon of Yoono's status update function:

It'll be an extra if Yoono built-in browser supports tabbed browsing...
Btw, I've tried Yoono Chrome plugin, it simply loads Yoono inside a tab, but not as a browser sidebar...so, its a no go for me. Not sure for the FireFox plugin.
Other than Yoono, theres still variety of program with similar function, like:
- Flock Browser, the old Flock 2.6 is powerd by Gecko rendering engine that powers FireFox 3.0, which is a little old; the new Flock uses Chrome engine, but I faced some bugs, and theres no update for almost 2 months, as the company were acquired by Zynga.
- the new Windows Live Messenger, but it will only show you the updates from the users that linked their social account to Live account.
In conclusion, if you're tired of updating & viewing all over your social networks one by a time, then Yoono just might be the "sidebar" that simplify your life.
