Maxthon exceeds 1 hundred million downloads PDF Print
News - Information Technology
Sunday, 29 July 2007 14:48

Internet Explorer core based browser - Maxthon (formerly MyIE2) has exceeded downloads of one hundred million several days ago.

Maxthon 2 spots a lot of great features: Multi-Tab, new Anti-Freeze technology, Feed Reader, Undo List, est., IE7 zoom feature, sidebar, highly customizable interface and support of skinning, plugins. Personally, I like the URL alias which lets you to assign URL with your own keys (like typing "wiki" at the address bar would bring you to http://www.wikipedia.com) & customizable address bar search, enabling users to set their own search engine alias. Lets say I set "w" as search engine alia of Wikipedia Search and wants to find for the term/keyword "chupakapra", all I need to do is typing "w chupakapra" in my Maxthon 2 address bar.

There's still a lot of features in Maxthon 2...online favorites, ads hunter, filter packs... The only fallback would be the speed. It wasn't slow (feels slightly slower than Firefox 2), but it would be better if it can render the page faster, but then its up to Microsoft's IE as Maxthon 2 uses the core. Curious? Try it out yourself.

News - Information Technology
Monday, 23 April 2007 16:55

This is the first time PIKOM PC Fair was held in Muar.

Muar is a small town located somewhat 60KM southeast from Melacca. The fair was held in Jubli Intan Hall, near Hok Hai Plaza (Wetex Parade/Pelangi Hotel).

somewhere near to hall entrance

For the size of the fair, although expected, I'm still a little surprise to see ~20 booth in a "Muar" PC Fair. Alot bigger than Batu Pahat's fair, which were 4~5 booth in total. Well, its nothing if you compare it to KL's fair - 50+ booth.

Not much to say about the fair, items price were like 10~30% cheaper...Anyway, "Read More" for some pics (29 in total) & descriptions of the fair - taken on the last day - 22th April, 2007.
